Christopher Rike Counselor & Attorney at Law
Chris was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Bowling Green State University on full scholarship as a National Merit Scholar and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Business. Shortly after moving to Arizona in 2002 he co-founded Radon Control Services, Arizona's first radon measurement and mitigation company. Chris still holds a controlling interest in Radon Control Services. Chris began law school in fall of 2003. He attended law school on a full academic scholarship and earned his Juris Doctorate from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2005 graduating cum laude. He was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 2006 and the U.S. District Court of Arizona in 2009. While volunteering at the Family Law Facilitator in the San Diego Superior Court, Chris realized his strong interest in family law. He enjoys working one on one with clients to help them attain resolution and guiding them through the legalities of family law matters. After beginning practice in Phoenix, Chris continued to volunteer his time by participating in the Family Lawyers Assistance Project as well as representing family law litigants pro bono. In 2007, Chris received the 2007 Joseph W. Mahowald Family Law Advocate of the Year award and was named one of the top 50 pro bono attorneys in Arizona. In 2008, he received the Section of Family Law Pro Bono Award from the American Bar Association. Chris has served on the Board of Directors for the Family Law Section of the Maricopa County Bar Association since 2008. In his personal life, Chris has been a passionate cyclist for nearly two decades. He road raced for several years and began a collegiate cycling team while in college. He also enjoys mountain biking and has been known to participate in the occasional 24 hour mountain bike race.
