Family Law encompasses a wide variety of areas but people are most familiar with divorce and child support, custody and parenting time issues. Unfortunately these issues are often not easily or quickly resolved, especially when there are children involved. The ongoing nature of family law issues can be emotionally and financially taxing. We recognize this and make every effort to minimize the strains presented by these issues.
Our approach towards family law focusses on resolution. We are not supporters of unproductive posturing or spiteful motions. There is already enough tension in family law matters and our role is to facilitate a resolution, not to drive a bigger stake between the parties. We frequently encourage mediation between the parties because often, many matters can be settled in hours through mediation. While mediation may reduce the fees a client pays his or her attorney, we believe a speedy and cost effective resolution is in the best interests of our clients. After all, a happy client is our most valuable marketing tool.
