Jonathan Elgart

Jonathan is a native of Springfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Boston College Law School in 1998. He also holds a degree in history from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Between college and law school, he worked first for a U.S. Congressman, operating the office computer system, then in technical support for a company that sold computer systems to Congressional offices.

After law school, Jonathan spent two years as the law clerk to a judge of the Bankruptcy Court in Phoenix, Arizona. His job was to conduct legal research and to help the judge prepare for each day's hearings.

While living next in Seattle, Jonathan worked for a bankruptcy firm that specialized in both individual and corporate Chapter 11 cases. He was an active member of the bankruptcy section of the King County Bar Association.

He returned to Arizona in 2006 to start a family, and has worked for several consumer bankruptcy firms in the Valley, filing both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases for his clients. He is presently a member of the bankruptcy section of the State Bar of Arizona.

He is admitted to both the the State Bar of Arizona and the U.S. District Court in Arizona. He was admitted to the state and Federal bars in Washington from 1999 to 2007.
